Today in our tour to Gamboa we saw the Titan crane, one of the four huge floating cranes that Hitler ordered to build in 1941 for the construction and repair of submarines during the Second World War. After the war, the United States kept this crane as a war trophy and then it was sent to the Panama Canal in 1999 before the control of it was passed to the Panamanian government. Today this machine is still in operation to take tugs to land as it can lift to 350 tons.
